Take the 1940's for instance. The UK may have been in the grips of the Second World War, but it did not stop people from going out and enjoying themselves. During the 1950's more and more colours were being introduced, none more so than in the range of shirts available for the men to buy. Plain, bold colours check shirts, plaid shirts, Hawaiian shirts and short sleeved shirts were all introduced in the 50's, with many designs still available today.
American style knitwear and college wear are very popular items today as well. The more recent up to date items could easily pass for a 1960's vintage version, and you see lots of youngsters wearing such items.
Vintage clothing UK styles may be considered old fashioned by some people, but just take a look at what people are wearing today and you will see that the old vintage designs never wear out, in fact many are more in demand than even the latest teen fashions. Vintage clothing UK rocks!
